New Project

Armand Cabrera, plein air painter, shares information about techniques he has developed and about other artists on a his “Art and Influence” blog. “When I packed up my studio to move from California, I decided I couldn’t justify shipping all the books unless I intended to do something with them,” he says. “I started writing book reports, so to speak, summarizing the most useful information for painters. That refreshed my understanding of the advice contained in the books, and it got me in the habit of sharing information with other painters.”

When I read this I thought.....what a great idea!  I have a lot of books to read and the best way for me to learn it is to write about it.  So, I have assigned myself homework! Everyday, yes...EVERY DAY, I will read or watch a DVD that I have purchased or borrowed, and will write a summary of something I have learned that day.

This should be an interesting project!  Stay tuned....feel free to comment!
